About Me

Computer Science Professional

In 1982, my father bought a TRS-80 Colour Computer. That’s when I was introduced to computer science. I like it so much that I took computer classes in high school and the mathematics classes I need to be accepted in computer science at Collège de l’Outaouais. Once I graduated from the Collège de l’Outaouais in 1995, I decided to get a bachelor degree from the local university (UQO). By 1999, I was working at the Ottawa Hospital. Three years later I started my career in the federal public service. I’m still working there as a full-time employee as a bilingual web application developer.

Avid Reader

Since I learned to read, I’ve been an avid reader of novels in French and once I became bilingual, I read novels and nonfiction books  in English too. I still do whenever I have the time to do so.

Writer

Same with reading, I have kept a journal since I was a teenager. At work, I wrote technical documentation such as use cases and test cases. This documentation is owned by my employer and I can’t share it on the Internet.

Bilingual

I got an EEE for my second language evaluation. That result means I’m fluent in my second language which is English and I don’t have to be evaluated again as long as I work in the federal public service. Since 2022, I’ve written several articles that I’ve published on Medium and Substack. I got Contena® certified last year and my portfolio in English can be found on writing.io here.
